Introducing my new online Alwin Schroeder biography

I recently uploaded the first installment of my expanded Alwin Schroeder biography. This first part covers Alwin's ancestry and early childhood (1855-1868), with details on the musical activities of his father and older brothers in Alwin's native Neuhaldensleben. Read it here.

Coming soon, the second part will cover Alwin's Ballenstedt, Berlin, and Hamburg years (1868-1879), including the brief career of the Schroeder Brothers String Quartet and Alwin's quick, self-guided transition from violist to cellist.
