Heberlein and other cellists performed this work in Detroit during the 1890s. I have also found references to other performances during Heberlein's lifelime that took place as far away as Australia. The original Andre edition of this piece is found in the Carlo Fischer Collection, a donation to the Hennepin County Library from the estate of Carlo Fischer, founding first cellist of the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra.
